Metal Blade Reissues SEPULTURA’s Schizophrenia, DEICIDE’s Legion, OBITUARY’s The End Complete On Vinyl

Metal Blade has made available three classic and crucial albums on vinyl. New editions of vinyl from Sepultura, Deicide, and Obituary are up now at this location. Sepultura's Schizophrenia has been pressed on transparent 180 gram blue vinyl, Deicide's Legion was pressed on opaque red 180 gram, and Obituary's The End Complete features coke bottle clear 180 gram vinyl. This pressing is strictly limited to 1,500 pieces worldwide. All three are also priced at $19.99 plus shipping.

Sepultura's 1987 album, Schizophrenia, exploded onto the metal scene, fueled by fusing thrash and death metal, improved songwriting, musicianship, and the band's first "professional" quality production. Constant touring and the addition of classically trained lead guitarist Andreas Kisser were monumental factors in the impact Schizophrenia had on the metal community.

Legion is an onslaught of ever-shifting double-bass and extreme guitar riffing is considered by many to be an essential example of Deicide's world-class death metal. While bassist/vocalist Glen Benton never accepted the categorization, his band helped define the early '90s death movement with their intricate, ultra-heavy music and low, growling vocals.

Obituary's third release, The End Complete, marks the return of lead guitarist Allen West and it also marks an impressive leap forward in production. The End Complete is arguably the definitive Obituary album as well as being considered by many as the prototypical death metal album.

More exclusive and limited edition vinyl will be coming later this year.
