Metal guitar shredder “Metal Mike” Chlasciak (Halford, Testament, Painmuseum) is offering Metal For Life guitar instruction via his newly launched MetalHeroesAcademy.com.

 

 

The lessons which are available in 30 and 45 minute formats follow the laid-back, straight-up footsteps of Mike’s long running column of the same name in Guitar World magazine.

Mike commented, “I thought it would be cool to offer younger, up-and-coming as we as an experienced players a chance to dive into the inner workings of metal guitar. My teaching style is pretty laid back and focuses on the needs of my students. It is not a one size fits all system for all. So if you are tired of disorganized lessons or watching your guitar instructor for half the lesson trying to impress you, I think Metal For Life lessons will be a great alternative to get some serious stuff happening. My Metal For Life column in Guitar World has been enjoying successful run for nearly an astounding 5 years and I know that there are many players out there who can get even more out the lessons by studying directly with me. Metal Mike’s Metal Heroes Academy has been launched early this month with a goal of teaching, motivating and inspiring the next line of metal musicians. It offers free resources, blogs, workshops and lessons.

Metal Heroes Academy launched their first annual Metal Heroes Summer Camp this August in association with Music Masters Camps located at Full Moon Resort in Big Indian, NY.

Long standing guitarist to The Metal God, Rob Halford, Metal Mike has released several guitar instructional books as well as two metal guitar DVDs through Alfred publications/Guitar World. His latest solo release is The Metalworker.
