METALLICA - "Enjoying Each Other's Noise"
December 15, 2016, 7 years ago
Metallica played The Opera House in Toronto, Ontario on November 28th in benefit of The Daily Bread Food Bank. The next day, James Hetfield joined Canadian disc jockey, author and musicologist Jeff Woods for 20 minutes to chat about life in and beyond Metallica. Check out their chat via the YouTube video below; a brief portion has been transcribed as follows:
"Being really tight, really close with the band... small stage. We've been playing all kinds of stuff; giant stages that - it's like you don't even see each other during the gig. Being tight together, playing like that, enjoying each other's noise and feel. And obviously with the fans there as well, just soaking it all up... playing new songs and people smiling; that's the best part for me."
The aforementioned Toronto show is now available for download via LiveMetallica.com here.
