METALLICA To Launch Limited Edition Labatt / Budweiser Beer In Québec; Details Available

Le Journal de Québec is reporting that Metallica have teamed up with beer juggernaut Labatt/Budwesier for a limited edition run of Metallica branded beer. A reliable source close to BraveWords has confirmed through a beer company rep that the beer is a reality and will hit stores on September 28th. This is a promotional move tied into Metallica ushering out the legendary Colisée Pepsi and opening the brand new Centre Vidéotron with two shows in Quebec City on September 14th and 16th respectively.

On Wednesday, September 16th a tanker truck filled with Budweiser will be parked in front of the Centre Vidéotron. Once the Metallica show is finished, the tanker filled will head to the Labatt plant in LaSalle, near Montreal.

The beer will be available in cans, coming in cases of 15 and 24. More than 91,000 black cans will be on the market to mark the historic transition from Metallica in the new amphitheater.

Metallica have uploaded new fly-on-the-wall footage shot by the MetOnTour reporter on August 22nd in Gothenburg, Sweden in front of over 63,000 fans at Ullevi Stadium. Footage includes Lars Ulrich in the meet and greet, Tuning Room, plus "Battery" from the show.
