MEXICAN APE-LORD Commence Work On New Album

Boston heavy metal band Mexican Ape-Lord featuring Meliah Rage founding guitarist Anthony Nichols and The Bags’ vocalist/bassist Jon Hardy have begun work on a follow-up record to The Late Heavy Bombardment.

After three surgeries and over 100 therapy sessions, guitarist/songwriter Anthony Nichols, who broke his wrist in December 2013, has regained most of his metal guitar chops and is looking forward to making a second Mexican Ape-Lord record. He and drummer Steve Fry will be working on the core of the songs at Sherwood Forest Studio in Bedford, MA, preparing new material for singer/bassist Jon Hardy and lead guitarist Dan Dykes. The band has also has also brought back producer Peter Rutcho to track and mix the new record.

Mexican Ape-Lord are still working on a video for “The Misadventures Of Black Jesus”, a track taken from their debut album, The Late Heavy Bombardment. Photos from the shoot below:
