The new project MEXICAN APE-LORD featuring MELIAH RAGE guitarist/songwriter Anthony Nichols and THE BAGS vocalist/bassist Jon Hardy will release their debut record, The Late Heavy Bombardment, in early 2014. Nichols and Hardy were actually acquaintances prior to working together — both hailing from the same suburban Boston town of Lexington, Massachusetts.

"Though we each have had our own thing going over the years, I've always had Jon's voice in the back of my head - I always liked his style and creative sensibilities," Nichols stated. "I have long thought that Jon would be a great vocalist/lyricist for the way I write music," added Nichols, who enlisted drummer Steve Fry and guitarist Dan Dykes to complete the project. The new material will feature the riff-based style that Nichols established with Meliah Rage.

Mexican Ape-Lord will highlight Hardy's completely fresh approach to lyrics and voice — and both Fry and Dykes bring great skill and energy to the project.

According to a press release, The Late Heavy Bombardment will have the riff-based style that Nichols established with Meliah Rage and feature some serious chops from drummer Steve Fry and second guitarist Dan Dykes. According to Nichols "Hardy's unique approach to vocals and lyrics" will make the album much different than a Meliah Rage record.

Along with the album title the band has released the song titles:

'The Misadventures Of Black Jesus'

'Revolutionary Nuns'

'Goat Rope And Chunder'

'Idiots'

'Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms'

'Rat King'

'Kraut Line'

'Blood Ledge'

'What Number Is Your Pain?'

'Super Inga'
