NAPALM DEATH, ORIGIN To Replace SATYRICON At Housecore Horror Film Festival

The organizers of the Housecore Horror Film Festival regrets to inform everyone that Norwegian black metal legends Satyricon will no longer be able to perform at this year's Housecore Horror Film Festival.

The band explained via their official Facebook page: "Dear US fans, we regret to inform that Satyricon will not perform at Knotfest in San Bernardino, CA and Horror Fest in Austin, TX in October 2014. The reasons for not being able to perform at these two festivals are both pragmatic ones and entirely different from each other. Satyricon will now shift its attention towards the writing of a new album, re-editing the footage from the Live At The Opera live album/DVD and another project that will be announced at a later stage. It is important for the band that the US fans understand that you are far from forgotten and that the band look forward to come over for a full scale US tour as soon as it is possible. You deserve it."

However, HHFF has already extended an invitation for Satyricon to appear in 2015. To make up for the unfortunate situation, HHFF is honored to bring in UK grindcore godfathers Napalm Death. In addition, tech-death giants Origin will take the stage alongside the rest of the killer acts we've already announced, including the recent additions of a Superjoint reunion, GWAR, Voivod, Corrections House, Mobile Deathcamp, and War Master.

HHFF will also feature celluloid appearances in the form of live concert footage and documentaries from metal heavyweights like Venom, The Melvins, Rigor Mortis, Lamb Of God, and Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals as well as the Texas premiere of Alicia Lozano and Thomas Grahsler's powerhouse documentary Welcome To Deathfest.' This heavy metal mania block of films will make it feel like you're right up front headbanging like a lunatic.

Heavy metal legend Philip Anselmo and best-selling true crime author Corey Mitchell’s groundbreaking horror-meets-metal extravaganza, the Housecore™ Horror Film Festival, has already announced several huge jaw-dropping bands and film events for this year’s lineup including the Official 40th Anniversary Reunion of the surviving cast members of THE TEXAS Chain Saw Massacre, including “Leatherface” himself, Gunnar Hansen; a TXCM 2 reunion with the cast including Bill “Chop-Top” Moseley; and a U.S. exclusive combined headline performance by the legendary Glenn Danzig of immortal classics from both Danzig and Samhain. It’s all going down at Emo’s in Austin, TX, right before Halloween, between the unhallowed dates of October 23rd-26th.

The current confirmed music lineup for HHFF features a hugely diverse array of metallic talent, including:

Danzig, Samhain, Neurosis, Eyehategod, Napalm Death, Cattle Decapitation, Portal, Superjoint, Gwar, Voivod, Corrections House, Mobile Deathcamp, War Master, Macabre, Unearth, Decapitated, Lustmord, SubRosa, KEN mode, King Parrot, Wizards Of Gore (AKA Rigor Mortis), Hobbs’ Angel Of Death, Warbeast,Ringworm, Acid Witch, Archspire, Author & Punisher,Witchburn, Fulgora (featuring members of Pig Destroyer & Misery Index), Krigblast (featuring Felix Griffin from D.R.I.), Gasmiasma (feat.
