Nigel Dupree, frontman of the NIGEL DUPREE BAND and son of JACKYL frontman Jesse James Dupree, is featured in a new interview with Classic Rock Revisited founder Jeb Wright. An excerpt is available below.

Jeb: Did you ever tour with your dad as a kid?

Nigel: "I had the pleasure of growing up on the bus with them. If I didn't make it to school on Monday, the teachers would just Fedex my work. I don't think that was legal then, but you definitely can't get away with that now."

Jeb: Did you pick up any rock star influences? You know, alcohol, drugs, groupies… Or are you taking this more seriously than that?

Nigel: "We keep in under control. All those things make rock 'n' roll, its where the songs come from."

Jeb: What is the biggest misconception people have about being in a professional band?

Nigel: "That its a cakewalk. We spend hours driving, working on songs, networking with fine people like yourself, and there is still this idea that all we do is the shower, shave, and well... you get the point."

Jeb: What rock 'n' roll stereotype is the most true?

Nigel: "If you put a bunch musicians in a hotel room the furniture will be glued to the ceiling."
