NIGHTWISH - First Demo For New Album Complete
June 2, 2010, 9 years ago
Mainman Tuomas Holopainen from Finnish symphonic metallers NIGHTWISH has finished a raw demo of the band's follow-up to 2007's Dark Passion Play which featured new singer Anette Olzon. Between July and September the band will reconvene at a secret location in Finland to rehearse the material together and build a final demo which will be properly recorded over the fall/winter and early spring 2011. The as-yet-untitled new material could surface as early as September of 2011.
As previously reported, management has informed BraveWords.com that the band is investigating the possibility of starting the next world tour in Los Angeles. Plans would call for a one-off North American exclusive at the 6,000 seat auditorium within the Universal Amphitheater. This venue would allow Nightwish to bring pyro and the full production to North America for the first time. A full continental tour would commence three-four months later, tentatively billed as late 2011, or early 2012.
