La Vida Leica! has issued an interview conducted with MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx. An excerpt follows:
Q: Describe your style of shooting.
A: "Raw and honest is what I go for. I am looking for your inner beauty. The outside tells a story... But together is raw honesty."
Q: What do you favor the most, color or black and white - and why?
A: "Black and white for sure. I feel you see every crack and bruise with black and white and color distracts usually from the honesty."
Q: Describe your gear and favorite lens.
A: "I use a Nikon D3, Leica M240 and an M Monochrom. My fave lens is always a 35mm but I use 50mm too."
Q: Are you technically minded or are you guided by feeling?
A: "All by gut. I always say when I know too much; I get bored too fast."
