OZZY OSBOURNE Sends Out Video Message To Help Birmingham Children’s Hospital Big Hoot Auction

Black Sabbath legend Ozzy Osbourne sent a heartfelt video message to help the Birmingham Children’s Hospital Big Hoot Auction to fly past £500,000, reports BirminghamMail.co.uk.

Remembering how his son Louis had once been treated at the hospital, the Aston-born frontman had already contributed to the project through Ozzy’s Owl, which sat outside of Waterstones on New Street throughout the summer. It was painted to Ozzy’s instructions by his longstanding friend Graham Frank Wright.

At the start of the auction, Ozzy greeted the audience with the words “Hello my fellow Brummies” and he ended the message by saying “God bless you all.” In between he said “Now it’s your turn... please dig deep for a great cause.”

The auction raised £508,835.01 for Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity’s Star Appeal, more than twice the amount envisaged in June. The sum puts the hospital new Star Appeal well on the road towards its £3.65 million target. The grand total raised on the night at Millennium Point was £530, 835.01 including £15,000 for the Edward’s Trust and £7,800 for the Birchfield Harriers.
