QUEENSRŸCHE, now featuring frontman Todd La Torre, who replaced Geoff Tate, have issued a brief update to reveal that they have begun recordings for their new album, due out next year, with producer James Barton, who engineered the band's classic Operation: Mindcrime album.
La Torre recently issued the following update: "FYI, it's not a ‘power metal’ album, but I do land some siiiiiiiick screams here and there that would rival blinded, if not higher, but only in tasty spots. This is by no means a ‘screaming’ record, it's Queensrÿche. The boys are working out the finishing details before tracking, and we are hopeful you will love what we have in store for you. James Barton is sure to capture and engineer the wonderful quality that is synonymous with his name.” The band recently released a trailer for the new album. Check it out below: Queensrÿche's upcoming tour schedule is as follows: December 21 - Masonic Temple - Detroit, MI 29 - Marquee Theatre - Tempe, AZ January 19 - Speaking Rock Casino & Entertainment Center - El Paso, TX March 8 - Bergen Performing Arts Center - Englewood, NJ 9 - Penn's Peak in Jim Thorpe, PA 14 - Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Biloxi - Biloxi, MS 15 - The Ritz Ybor - Tampa, FL 16 - 20 - Monsters Of Rock Cruise - Fort Lauderdale, FL 30 - Mohegan Sun Casino - Uncasville, CT
