RANDY BLACK Confirms First Of Three Drum Clinic Dates For 2015

Drum legend Randy Black (DuskMachine) has announced the first of three planned drum clinics in 2015. It will take place at Long & McQuade in Vancouver, BC on January 27th starting at 7:00pm. Go to this location for complete details and updates.

DrumHang.com recently issued the following update on their new collaboration with Black:

"Canadian born and Germany-based Randy Black is known best for his stints as the drummer for Primal Fear, Annihilator, DuskMachine, Bif Naked, Rebellion, Skew Siskin, and Click. As the drummer for the Rock Meets Classic tour, Randy played drums for Alice Cooper, Paul Rodgers, Uriah Heep, Bonnie Tyler, Joe Lynn Turner (Rainbow, Deep Purple) Midge Ure (Ultravox) Eric Bazillian (The Hooters) and many more. Randy’s playing style is notable for his ability to play ambidextrously with a symmetrical set of cymbals, specifically a dual set of remote hi-hats and ride cymbals to his right and to his left respectively.

We will be featuring lessons and performances from Randy’s popular Instructional DVD, The Black Book, as well as new feature lessons weekly.

Check out the clips below, which include a freebie slow motion lesson following the full performance of Promise From Underneath by DuskMachine from The Black Book."

New weekly lessons from Black will be available soon. Go to DrumHang.com for updates.

Black recently checked in with the following update:

"My performance of the DuskMachine song 'The Maker's Death' from our debut CD, The Final Fall, filmed at the 26th International Drummer Meeting Salzgitter 2014. Other drummers performing were: Gerry Brown, Dirk Erchinger, Gabor Dornyei, Dirk Brand, Pitti Hecht, Werner Schimtt, Nicky Gebhard and Sibi Siebert. All great drummers. A very inspirational weekend for sure!"

DuskMachine, also featuring bassist Russ Bergquist (Annihilator), guitarist Nikolai Wurk, and vocalist Joe Comeau (Annihilator, Overkill, Liege Lord) have issued the following update:

"Not many people realise it but DuskMachine has recently passed the 10 year mark of being in existence. Kinda sneaked up on us and we were pleasantly surprised. Here's to another 10 years and beyond.

DuskMachine released their latest album (self-titled) on July 26th, 2013 via Massacre Records. They have released a lyric video for the title track, which can be viewed below.

Video design and production by Andy Clark at FreerangeFX.
