RIKKI ROCKETT "Not Sure" What's Going On With POISON; BRET MICHAELS Announces Solo TV Broadcast
August 4, 2016, 8 years ago
"Are you wanting to know what is going on with Poison? Truth is, I'm not sure," says drummer Rikki Rockett via his official Facebook page. "But I do think good things lie in the near future. I hope so and I am ready to work albeit a record, tour or whatever."
Rockett was diagnosed with oral cancer more than a year ago, and got the best news of his life recently - his cancer is gone; complete details available here.
However, Poison frontman Bret Michaels encourages fans to "Tune in and set your DVR! The Bomb Factory is going to rock August 25th at 9/8c when Bret brings his record breaking #PartyStartsNow tour and delivers a 100% LIVE real #music experience on AXS TV hosted by Mark Cuban. If you are in the Dallas or Fort Worth, Texas area you can get free tickets to the show courtesy of TheBombFactory.com. This event is going to be a mega party of epic proportions you won't want to miss!"
Bret currently has solo shows booked up until early December; the complete routing can be found at this location. That being said, Poison and Def Leppard will join forces once again for a 2017 tour, according to Michaels.
Speaking with The Salt Lake Tribune ahead of his performance at BearFest at Usana Amphitheatre in West Valley City, Utah, Michaels was asked about a potential Poison reunion. He replied, "The honest answer to that is I absolutely hope so, and next year it'll be Poison and Def Leppard. The last time we were out was, I think, 2012, and we'll go out and bring it again, and it'll be insane."
On July 14th, Bret Michaels returned to primetime television on ABC’s Greatest Hits. Michaels performed as part of this very special six-week music event. He performed “Nothin’ But A Good Time” and “Every Rose Has Its Thorn”. Full videos of the performances can be found at abc.com/greatesthits.
