In 2012, Survivor vocalist Jimi Jamison, who died of a heart attack earlier this week, took part in the annual Rock Meets Classic European tour, which also featured Ian Gillan (Deep Purple), Steve Lukather (Toto), Chris Thompson (Manfred Mann's Earth Band) and Robin Beck. Bassist / Master Of Ceremonies Mat Sinner (Primal Fear) has posted the following tribute to Jamison:

"Just one more little story about one of the best moments in my career. RMC 2012, rehearsals for one of my favorite songs - Survivor’s 'I Can’t Hold Back' - in my home town. Olli (Hartmann) started with the acoustic guitar and there was the voice .... the best thing, I’ve looked to the left and he was standing there, smiling at me and we were singing together. One of the nicest guys in this business. He was walking down the isle of a sold out Olympiahalle in Munich like a champ!"

RIP Jimi, you will have a place in my heart forever! Sail Away my friend!"
