Organizers for the 2013 edition of the annual ROCK MEETS CLASSIC tour through Europe have announced that vocalist PAUL RODGERS has been added to the line-up for the 2013 European tour:

He has been cited as a significant influence on a number of notable rock singers including DAVID COVERDALE, JOHN WAITE, LOU GRAMM, JIMI JAMISON, ERIC MARTIN, JIMMY BARNES, JOE BONAMASSA and a lot of more. FREDDIE MERCURY in particular idolized Paul Rodgers and JOHN MELLENCAMP called him "the best rock singer ever"

Rock Meets Classic recently confirmed former JOURNEY frontman Steve Augeri and Chris Thompson of MANFRED MANN'S EARTH BAND fame for the February/March run as well. More artists will be confirmed in the coming weeks.

Now into its fourth year, Rock Meets Classic showcases classic rock artists of the '70s and '80s performing their hits backed by a full-on rock band and an orchestra. Artists that have taken part in previous tours include Chris Thompson, Ian Gillan (DEEP PURPLE), Dan McCafferty (NAZARETH), Steve Lukather (TOTO), Lou Gramm (FOREIGNER), Chris Thompson, Jimi Jamison (SURVIVOR) and Robin Beck.

The Mat Sinner Band features PRIMAL FEAR members Mat Sinner (bass), Alex Beyrodt (guitars) and Ralf Scheepers (backing vocals), TRILLIUM / AVANTASIA's Amanda Somerville (backing vocals), Avantasia's Oliver Hartmann (guitars), Jimmy Kresic (keyboards), Tiffany Kirkland (backing vocals), Verena Schock (backing vocals), and Martin Schmidt (drums).
