Rock Meets Classic, the annual European tour featuring classic rock artists backed by The Mat Sinner Band and the Bohemian Symphony Orchestra Prague, kicks off today (March 30th) in Würzburg, Germany. This year's line-up features Europe vocalist Joey Tempest, former Kansas frontman Steve Walsh, The Sweet members Andy Scott and Peter Lincoln, Midge Ure of Ultravox fame, German metal queen Doro, Thin Lizzy's Scott Gorham and Ricky Warwick, and former Nazareth frontman Dan McCafferty. The Mat Sinner Band features Primal Fear members Mat Sinner, Alex Beyrodt (guitars) and Tom Naumann (guitars), and also featuring Voodoo Circle's Jimmy Kresic (keyboards), Veronika Lukešová (Kiske / Somerville / drums), Tiffany Kirkland (backing vocals), Kolinda Brozovic (backing vocals), Gabriela Gunčíková (Trans-Siberian Orchestra / backing vocals) and Sascha Krebs (backing vocals).

Last summer Rock Meets Classic performed two special festival shows in Germany at Rock Of Ages and the Wacken Open Air on July 31st and August 1st respectively.

Featured artists for these two exclusive shows included Dee Snider (Twisted Sister), Joe Lynn Turner (Rainbow), Michael Kiske (Unisonic, ex-Helloween), Marc Storace (Krokus) and Jennifer Haben (Beyond The Black).
