Scotland’s BLACKWORK To Release Impasse EP In March; “Filthist” Track Streaming

Hailing from Glasgow, Scotland, five piece metal band Blackwork are purveyors of some of the finest metal this side of the Atlantic. The band began work on their debut five-track Impasse EP in August 2015, and have today announced it will be released on March 25th.

Musically, Blackwork combine a modern metal sound with layered vocals, elements of groove, prog and more extreme metal, with the aim to be as heavy as possible without compromising memorable songwriting. You can get your first taste of Impasse in the form of “Filthist”, streaming below.

“Filthist”:

Formed in Summer 2014, Blackwork wasted no time, and released a three-track demo within months. Since then the band (made up of Josh Graham, Greig Cunningham, Tony Dunn, Chris Dunn and Chris Vezza) have gigged consistently, sharing the stages with artists such as Xerath, Bloodshot Dawn and Exist Immortal among others.
