SCOTT WEILAND Tribute Show & Benefit Scheduled For March 10th In New Jersey

Scott Weiland (vocalist for Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver) battled many demons before ultimately dying of an accidental overdose last December. In an effort to celebrate his influencial musical legacy and hopefully prevent others from the same fate, a Scott Weiland tribute show will take place on Thursday, March 10th at 7:30 PM at MexiCali Live to benefit NCADD-NJ and Road Recovery. Both non-profit organizations offer aid with prevention and recovery from addiction.

MexiCali Live is located at 1409 Queen Anne Road in Teaneck, NJ. More details at NewJerseyStage.com.

Weiland overdosed on cocaine, MDA (ecstasy) and alcohol. Heart disease and asthma were also “significant” condtions, and Scott's "multi-substance dependence" were also a factor.

Scott was found unresponsive in the back bedroom of his tour bus before a gig on December 3rd in Minnesota. He was buried in Los Angeles, California on December 10th.
