SCRATCH Featuring Early GANG GREEN Members Release El Monstro EP; “Das Waltz” Video Streaming

Glen and Chuck, aka the brothers Stilphen, are, perhaps, best-known for their time as teenagers in Boston's Gang Green from 1984-1986, at the very height of the band's relevance and popularity. Chuck wrote the ferocious music for the band's biggest song, the party anthem, "Alcohol" (which also appeared on the soundtrack of the film, Jackass 3D), and the brothers appear on the band's most successful record Another Wasted Night. 30 years later, the brothers still get along.

The new EP by Scratch, El Monstro, contains four songs - two tracks which appeared on Drop The Needle, a 2013 compilation record of Boston-based punk, metal, and hardcore music, along with two never-before-released songs, recorded in 1995 and shelved (and nearly forgotten about), until now.

A video for the song "Das Waltz" can be seen below:

Recorded with Carl Plaster at the infamous Fort Apache Studios in Cambridge MA, and co-produced by Carl, the band, and Gary Jay - featuring Todd Riggs on vocals and Michael Lefebvre on drums - this adrenaline-fueled 4-song release is available now in CD and digital download formats via Bandcamp. and iTunes.  A limited pressing 12" Green Vinyl LP will be released in September.
