SHINEDOWN Release “How Did You Love” Video

Shinedown has released a new video for “How Did You Love”. The song is taken from the band's fifth studio album, Threat To Survival, which debuted at No. 6 on The Billboard 200 album chart, selling 65,000 copies in its first week of release.
Shinedown frontman Brent Smith recently stated about "How Did You Love": "It's a different song for us, because it was very unique, the statement that's in the song. The song's called 'How Did You Love', but it's a song that asks the question, 'How did you live your life?' Because if you are given the gift of life, and you're born, you will pass away eventually; you know, it's going to happen. But what did you do in the meantime? In the middle of all that, what did you leave behind? What was your legacy? What kind of person were you? Did you love? Did you inspire people? Were you good to people? Were you good to yourself? I think it was more of a question of, were you able to let go of hate?"
He continued: "One of the words I use a lot is negativity, because I'm not into that word; I just think there's enough of it. And it's harder sometimes to be positive than it is to be negative. But that's really the question in that song and why it's such a very honest statement. Because if you're given the gift of life, you're gonna pass away eventually. And this isn't supposed to be depressing by any means. It's really supposed to be an eye opener of, like, 'Wow! If I wasn't living before, I'd better start living now.' And that's really what it's built around."
Due to overwhelming fan demand, Five Finger Death Punch and Shinedown recently announced additional dates for their massive fall arena tour across America, to extend through December 10th. The tour kicks off in Little Rock, AR on October 18th, as both bands share stages on this co-headline run. Joining them as special guests will be Sixx:A.M. featuring vocalist/producer James Michael, bassist Nikki Sixx and guitarist Dj Ashba. UK newcomers As Lions, featuring Austin Dickinson are rounding out the lineup as opener. Watch a preview of the tour below.
The four bands have partnered to donate $1 from each ticket sold on the tour to four hand-picked charitable organizations close to their hearts: Five Finger Death Punch chose the Badge of Honor Memorial Foundation, Shinedown selected MusiCares, Sixx:A.M. will support Jada Pinkett Smith's Anti-Human Trafficking organization Don't Sell Bodies, and As Lions will donate to Make A Wish America. In addition to the $1 donation per ticket, the bands have teamed up with Crowdrise to give fans the option to enter for the chance to win VIP tickets plus a Meet & Greet by choosing to donate an additional $5 at the time of ticket purchase. Also, fans who don't live in one of the cities on the tour, but would still like to support the efforts, can visit Crowdrise to donate $5 and be entered for a chance to win a flyaway to the show of their choice plus a Meet & Greet with all four bands.
