Spain’s JOTNAR Part Ways With Singer Misael Montesdeoca
February 11, 2015, 9 years ago
Spanish melodic metallers, Jotnar, have parted ways with singer Misael Montesdeoca.
Says the band in a statement: “Some of you may wondered what happened to us since we announced we entered in studio to record the new album, which has not been released yet. As we’ve commented before, the new album is basically recorded a long time ago; everything is ready but the vocals.
Through these last two years, our singer Misael has had some personal problems that have prevented him to dedicate the time needed to work in the recording of the album. During this time, we’ve been so patience and gave him all our support and understanding; but we’ve reach to a point where we must take different ways, with mutual agreement and no harsh feelings. He’s still one of our best friends and part of the family and we wish him the very best in his personal life and future musical projects.
But, not all is bad news. This happened a few months ago and Jotnar has been working hard, non-stop, since then. And we’re back again!!! We have a new member in the band, which will be introduced to all of you next week and who has been working with us in the preproduction of the vocals.
We’ve started the vocal lines from scratch, so the new singer could add his personal touch and bring a fresh air to the sound of the band. The result is simply amazing and we’re looking forward to be able to show you. You’ll be able to put a face next week as well as listening a few samples. Stay tuned!”
