Station Nightclub Fire Survivor Scotty Dunbar’s DMK To Open For Jack Russell’s GREAT WHITE In August

Scotty Dunbar is a survivor of the horrific Station Night Club Fire in West Warwick, RI, which took place on the night of February 20th, 2003 and claimed the lives of 100. Two of those life's claimed were Dunbar's friends Derek Gray and Eugene "Gino" Avilez, who Dunbar went to the show with on that tragic night.

On August 15th, Jack Russell's Great White will be returning to the New England area for the first time since the fire. The show will be taking place at Harvest Hill Farms in Mechanic Falls, Maine, which is located over 3 hours north of Rhode Island. Dunbar's group DMK will be opening the show along with Steelheart and several other bands.

Scotty Dunbar states: “I’m obviously aware that this show has caused some controversy, which is to be expected. However, I've read more positive articles and post then negative. I look at performing at this particular show as a final closure in that chapter of my life. I think I've done my best in keeping the memories of those that were lost on that tragic night alive.

Every single show I've done since then I've performed a song I wrote entitled "Memories Never Fade”, and right before we go into that song I explain to the crowd exactly what the song is about and I dedicate it to my friends Derek, Gino and the 98 innocent lives that were tragically taking in the fire. I don't care if I'm performing in front of five people or a thousand, I always address to the audience exactly what that song is about and I will do the exact same thing on the night of the Maine show with Jack Russell's Great White.

Get tickets for the show at this location.
