TESTAMENT - GLEN DROVER To Replace ALEX SKOLNICK For Three Shows
February 19, 2016, 8 years ago
Testament is currently on tour in North America opening for Slayer, alongside special guests Carcass. Those in attendance at tonight and tomorrow night's shows in Chicago, IL, as well as Monday's show in Nashville, TN, will notice a slight change in Testament's lineup. Guitarist Alex Skolnick has been temporarily replaced by former Megadeth, King Diamond and Eidolon guitarist Glen Drover.
Glen comments: "Sold out show in Chicago tonight! Slayer and Testament. I'm filling in for Alex for a few shows in Testament. First time playing onstage in years. It's going to be awesome!"
Drover previously played with Testament in 2008, when Skolnick was on tour with Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and again in 2010.
Alex says: "Heads up: No Chicago / Nashville 4 me next wk. Sorry 2 miss; was already booked. There'll be a good sub & I'll play Richmond VA & all the rest."
The reason behind Skolnick's absence is his participation in the Axes & Anchors Cruise; he will rejoin Testament on stage Wednesday, February 24th in Richmond, VA.
