THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA Takes On Gun Violence With “Lock & Load”; MIKE HRANICA Discusses Song

On December 2nd, 2015 in San Bernardino, CA, 14 people were killed and 22 seriously injured in the biggest mass shooting since Sandy Hook Elementary School in 2012. Eight days later, The Devil Wears Prada's Mike Hranica drove from his Chicago home to meet up with guitarist Kyle Sipress in Kansas City to write and demo new material for what would become Transit Blues (out now via Rise Records). Both very much affected by the escalating gun violence the world had been experiencing, "Lock & Load" began to take shape.

Check out what Hranica has to say below:

The Devil Wears Prada kicks off the European Leg of it’s global tour in support of Transit Blues on November 17th in Belgium. The entire itinerary can be seen here.
