Newly reformed from the ashes of Spirit Caravan, mainstay guitarist/vocalist Scott "Wino" Weinrich and the pair of musicians who rounded out the former (and current) trio, have signed to Relapse Records for the first new Obsessed disc since The Church Within, which was issued via Columbia back in 1994. Tentatively entitled Sacred (the name of a Spirit Caravan tune that has since been usurped by The Obsessed), the timetable for said album is encumbered by the current tour. More news when it's available.

Wino announced The Obsessed's return back in March:

From this day forward The Obsessed is myself, Dave Sherman (Spirit Caravan - bass) and Brian Costantino (Spirit Caravan - drums) who have proven to be dedicated, fearless and unwavering in their love of this music.”
