Berlin, Germany's THE OCEAN have announced a headline show in London, England on April 14th. A message from the group follows:

"We will be returning to the UK for an exclusive show at The Borderline in London, on Sunday, April 14th. We will perform a full headline set of songs from our new album on Metal Blade along with older material from the likes of 2010's double release, Heliocentric/Anthropocentric' and 2007's Precambrian.

To make the most of the weekend, we are happy to announce that we will be joined by some of the UK's finest progressive metal and hardcore: special guests BOSSK will play main support as they continue their return to the stage; hotly tipped newcomers EMPRESS will follow up their tour with CANCER BATS; post-hardcore trio SHAPES will air new material having only sporadically played live since their last album. As if that wasn't enough, The Ocean will bring Australia's LO! into the UK for a very rare show and their label Pelagic Records will be present with their distro along with those from some UK independents.

Doors will open at 5 PM and tickets are on sale on Wednesday, January 30th, from Ticketweb.co.uk."

2013 will be a busy year for The Ocean. The band will release a new album on April 26th (Germany/Sweden/Austria), April 29th (Europe) and April 30th (North America) via on Metal Blade Records.

To support the release, The Ocean will embark on a 3-week European tour with CULT OF LUNA in April and May (dates below), including a performance at Roadburn Festival on April 20th.

The new album will be a single album containing 52 minutes of new music. It will be mixed by Jens Bogren (OPETH, KATATONIA) in January and will come in two versions: instrumental and with vocals.

Comments The Ocean's Robin Staps: "The album was originally written to be instrumental, but in the end me and Loic couldn't help but try out a few things vocalwise and we soon got pretty excited... so there will be vocals on the album; however, we want everyone to have both versions, and we are also planning to perform the album live that way - with and without vocals."

The special edition of the album will be released along with a film by Craig Murray (NINE INCH NAILS). The 3xDVD Collective Oblivion has been postponed for a release later in the year, but shall also see the light of day in 2013.

The Ocean and LO! have both been confirmed to play Roadburn Festival 2013 and as support acts on the upcoming tour of Cult Of Luna.
