UNTIMELY DEMISE Enlist INTO ETERNITY Drummer BRYAN NEWBURY For Upcoming Calgary Metalfest Appearance And New Album

Saskatoon thrash/death metallers Untimely Demise are proud to confirm that they will be integrating the drumming expertise of Edmonton-based drum stalwart Bryan Newbury (Into Eternity/Death Toll Rising) into their upcoming Calgary Metalfest performance on June 6th, 2015. In addition to this live appearance, the band will also have Newbury apply his percussion prowess to the next album, which is to be recorded starting this July in Regina with producer/engineer Justin Bender (ex-Into Eternity, current Third Ion guitarist).

“After years of sharing the stage and working alongside Bryan, we are beyond stoked to finally have him contributing drum tracks to our music,” states bassist Murray Cuthbertson.

The band has been in Edmonton this past weekend rehearsing and hashing out drum arrangements, which will finalize the pre-production process for the band's forthcoming studio effort.

“When we drove up to Edmonton on Friday, the sun was shining, and after setting up, plugging in and playing for about 10 seconds, it just felt right,” remarked the outfit's frontman/axe-slinger Matt Cuthbertson.

The group experienced a milestone year in 2014, which included a first-time European tour with Florida death metal legends Massacre, topped off by a Western Canadian run on the much-coveted Death To All tour with Obituary, Massacre and Rivers of Nihil.

Reiterating the enthusiasm exhibited by the band, Newbury exclaims: “The old-school thrash style of Untimely Demise mirrors that of the metal legends that inspired me to pursue drumming. After spending time on the road with these guys for the DTA Tour, I realize how much their style complements my own. This collaboration feels like a natural progression for me.”

Untimely Demise promises this new collection of tour-de-force tracks to be a culmination of their entire euphonic repertoire, which will most accurately represent the style of heavy metal that they have strived to achieve since their inception.
