Wacken Open Air - MANOWAR In 2009, METALLICA In 2010?

In an interview with Metalitalia.com, ICS Festival Service GmbH managing director Thomas Jensen (Wacken Open Air organizers) reveals that the festival is in negotiations with MANOWAR to headline the 2009 edition of the festival.
Says Thomas Jensen: "For 2009 we are discussing with Manowar... my friend Joey is really crazy but I like him. [laughs] SAXON should play as well. We're in contact with METALLICA too, and we'll meet with John Jackson at the end of March to plan out their next Waken appearance, that probably will be in 2010".
Wacken Open Air Festival 2009 is scheduled to take place from July 30th - August 1st in Wacken, Germany.
