The Jimi Hendrix Foundation is dedicated to the betterment of the world community through music. In honour of the love and giving spirit of Jimi Hendrix, the Foundation works to improve the quality of life for children and the world community through inspiring creativity in music, arts and sciences.

Cultural ambassador to the Sunset Strip, Willie Basse, has been appointed to the position of VP of Marketing for The Jimi Hendrix Foundation.

Willie's new project, The Gypsy Experience (TGE) features Mitch Perry on guitars (MSG/Michael Schenker, Lita Ford, Aerosmith), Alvin Taylor on drums (Sammy Hagar, Ron Wood, Jimi Hendrix) and Willie Basse on bass and vocals (Buddy Miles, Black Sheep).

The high energy electric blues trio will be playing debut concerts at The Back Bar in Janesville, WI. on Thursday, June 4th and Reggies in Chicago on Saturday, June 6 th,co-headlining with Devon Allman (son of living blues legend, Gregg Allman).

As government support for education wanes and the economy stiffens, administrators are making deep cuts in Art and Humanities Education. There seems to be rampant ignorance of the powerful impact art & music education have on IQ, high order thinking and reasoning. This service vacuum creates the need for independent development and funding of supplemental arts and humanities programs for our children.

As a Charity Corporation, The Jimi Hendrix Foundation, with its strategic partners establish initiatives and uses the 'star power' of Jimi Hendrix to create programs that provide direct and/or indirect funding, as well as programs in art, music and community education in our home community, our great nation and the world.
