FAIRYLAND - Of Wars In Osyrhia

Good lord... do these people make records pointedly to send me into a rage? Yet, once my blood pressure returned to non-distress levels, I settled in and began to (micro) appreciate how beyond regular power metal this young French act were. In essence, Fairyland (previously known as Fantasy and Fantasia - oh brother) is a descendant of Rhapsody and Nightwish more than the olden gods - a sort of hysterical fifth and sixth wave beyond - Fairyland subjecting their beehives of activity to the sweet, thin, gulden sounds of way too many keyboards, Yngwie guitars and now positively speaking, the measured, grounded vocals of Elisa C. Martin ex-of Spaniards Dark Moor. The drums are a joke however, fake or made to sound that way, as if you'd notice under the choirs of sincere solemnity, the decorous male vocals of monks sent to the mead hall to settle the plunderers before last call.
