GRUESOME – Dimensions Of Horror

Gruesome is back with another slab of no-nonsense death metal. Last year these DM veterans came together to offer up basically a Death tribute type band, focusing on savage death metal in vein of Leprosy and Scream Bloody Gore and they definitely do as they say. Dimensions Of Horror is a devastating, go for the throat old school death metal that doesn’t let up until every drop of blood is spilled.

Dimensions Of Horror infects this 20 minute EP with cues from cult horror flicks like Evil Dead (“Raped By Darkness”) and The Beyond (“Dimensions Of Horror”). The raw, primitive rhythms and growls are the perfect soundtrack behind these themes. Guitarist/vocalist Matt Harvey makes no bones about it that this death metal firmly rooted in the ‘80s when the genre was just burgeoning and ready to infest the masses. This is a perfect way to spend 20 minutes drinking a cold one with a bud reminiscing about the glory days of this exciting time and any old school death metal fan will find this utterly enjoyable. Just make sure to not to headbang your coconut off!
