HUMAN INFECTION - Curvatures In Time

Virginia death metallers HUMAN INFECTION stick to the tried and true with this Floridian DM blast. The band name, the cover art, the old-school production, the raw, swamp-y sounds... these guys own themselves more than a few OBITUARY and MORBID ANGEL albums. But so do we, so the sounds here hit the spot just right. Love the half-hour run time and the fact that it's been three years since their first album and the band has not spent that time trying to learn new things or take their sound in progressive new directions. Nope, blinders are on, the first few DEATH albums are spinning in the background, and it's all systems go. Cuts like 'Devastation' head down to where the slime live, while much of the bulk of the album is speedy or blasting death metal, no frills attached, and none needed. These guys do just enough to keep things lively and energetic, and the overall vibe has just enough feeling to it to push this one above the competition by a ragged, bloody hair.
