REVOLUTION SAINTS - Revolutions Saints

Brand new classic rock! Sounds like an oxymoron doesn’t it? But in this case, it’s completely accurate. Vocalist / drummer Deen Castronovo (Journey), bassist Jack Blades (Night Ranger), and guitarist Doug Aldrich (Whitesnake) have joined forces under the moniker Revolution Saints. All the glory that was early ’80s arena rock is alive again; soaring vocals, catchy choruses, and ripping guitar riffs. “Locked Out Of Paradise” is a wonderful return to yesteryear, same goes for “Turn Back Time”. The melodies just make you smile. Castronovo calls on his Journey bandmates to lend a helping hand with vocalist Arnel Pineda singing on “You’re Not Alone”, and guitarist Neal Schon guesting on the absolutely lovely “Way To The Sun”.

Producer Alessandro Del Vecchio also plays keyboards throughout, adding an exquisite lushness to the 12 songs that comprise this incredibly enjoyable album. “Dream On” is not a cover of the Aerosmith masterpiece, rather a rocking original that just happens to share the same title. “Don’t Walk Away” and “In The Name Of The Father” are a pair of tender piano ballads, while “Strangers To This Life” and “Better World” boldly carry the torch through the home stretch. Would love to see Revolution Saints play these songs live!
