SARCÓFAGO - Die...Hard

80 minutes of Sarcófago demos is a really tough sell, even when you've got beers by your side and you've been mentally preparing for this moment for four days. Still a tough sell, and as my general sanity becomes less and less stable as this thing plays on, and the beers keep being poured down my gullet, all I can really say is a big hell yeah: listening to 80 minutes of Sarcófago demos rules, this here being the only official collection of said demos out there (it also contains some unreleased material).
Naturally, this basically all smushes together into one horrible-sounding (well, production quality varies, and some ain't half bad... some sure is, though) marathon of genre-pushing extreme metal, this band really one of the finest in early extreme metal, and a band I honestly love more and more with each passing X on the calendar, which is unique (also unique that I still put Xs on my calendar after a day is done, I imagine; hey, I'm drunk and listening to Sarcófago demos, cut me some slack). Although it's a tough, long listen (hence, the rating stops at 7.0; go to their classic I.N.R.I. album for a much higher rating), it's a fantastic history lesson and has tons of fun, bestial, raw early death/black to sink your weirdo teeth into.
