Legendary Iron Maiden singer Bruce Dickinson stopped by Toronto recently to promote the band’s long-awaited new album, The Book Of Souls, which is currently storming the charts around the world. In part one of our chat, BraveWords digs deep into their longest album ever, where the seeds were planted, the luxurious packaging and Dickinson talks about his massive undertaking, “Empire Of The Clouds“, which closes off the opus.
“It’s the most relaxed we’ve ever been,” says Dickinson about secretly creating The Book Of Souls. “We had so much fun. I mean so much fun. I didn’t want to stop. I was like, ‘can we just carry on and do another one? Let’s just put another record in the can.'”
