Host Ken Calvert of Detroit's classic rock radio station 94.7 WCSX spoke with AEROSMITH guitarist Joe Perry on Monday (August 10th).

During the interview, Perry discusses Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler's recent stage accident, which has forced the band to cancel recent dates.

Check out footage of the interview below.

As previously reported, Pollstar is reporting:

After postponing Aerosmith's Friday show in Winnipeg, Manitoba, because of injuries frontman Steven Tyler sustained from falling off the stage during a show in South Dakota, sources are reporting the band is rescheduling a few more Canadian dates.

Tyler, 61, fell during last Wednesday’s show at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally at Buffalo Chip Campground. The band was playing 'Love In An Elevator' when the sound system failed. Tyler decided to continue dancing up a storm while the crew did their thing fixing a blown fuse. He missed a step and fell off a runaway, onto the crowd of fans. After being airlifted to a nearby hospital, medics discovered Tyler had broken his left shoulder and needed stitches to the head.

Ticketmaster.com is reporting that in addition to the Winnipeg show, Tuesday’s Edmonton show, Thursday’s Calgary show and Saturday’s gig in Vancouver are also being rescheduled.

“A rescheduled tour announcement is forthcoming for Winnipeg, Regina, Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver," Ticketmaster.com is reporting on its Aerosmith listings page. "Ticket holders are being asked to keep their ticket(s) as they will be honoured on the rescheduled date. Upon announcement of new concert dates, information for ticket buyers that are unable to attend will be also be released. Stay tuned for more info!”
