In an interview with St. Johns, Newfoundland radio station K-Rock 97.5, AEROSMITH bassist Tom Hamilton spoke about the band's appearance on 60 Minutes and also revealed that their long-awaited studio album which has been pushed back to September.

The album would be “just about done” by the time Aerosmith plays the Freshwater Suzuki Salmon Festival in Grand Falls Windsor on July 14th, marking one of the biggest shows in the history of Newfoundland.

"I watched it with trepidation and quite a rapid heart rate," Hamilton says about the interview with CBS news correspondent Lara Logan. "It was tough to watch. The way they formatted it was very much… they took comments that we made during very deep conversations, actually, that we had during the interview and sort of barraged Steven (Tyler) with them. I thought it was a little brutal the way that did it, but it was the truth. It was everybody speaking what they were feeling. I cringed a little bit, because when we did these interviews, we talked about a lot of things involving anger yet a lot of other things involving love and brotherhood. They used whatever we said about Steven that was negative and just nailed him with it to get his reaction. So he got pissed off and said a couple of things that were demeaning to the rest of us, yet the second that it was over, I texted him and I said, 'hey, you did a great job.' He was put in a position where he had to defend himself, and I thought he did it well."

Aerosmith on 60 Minutes:

At a press conference at the Grove Mall in Los Angeles on March 28th, just around the corner from the American Idol studios, Aerosmith spoke to the media about their Global Warming tour will kick off on June 16th in Minneapolis and their long-awaited 15th studio album which is almost complete.

"We've been underground for four months, doing what we do best, and we've been known to set the world on fire with our type of music," said Steven Tyler. "So we decided to call this the Global Warming Tour. We haven't had a chance to play new music for a few years, so we're looking forward to kicking ass with this new album."

Tyler says the album will be out in three months and some song titles include: 'Legendary Child', 'Beautiful' and 'Out Go The Lights'.

"We're almost done with the record," Tyler updates. "We've got two more songs to finish, then we have to mix which should take us two months."
