AVALON - New Double CD Out This Month
June 6, 2006, 18 years ago
Dutch 80’s hardrock sensation AVALON will release "an overview of their 80’s top hardrock music" in the form of a new 2CD set entitled The Final Move, on June 23rd.
Founded in the early 1980’s Avalon today plays their music like they did in the old days. The band may look a bit dated, but their music sure is not. Playing in a line-up with the “classic twin guitar duo” Maarten Huiskamp and Jack Pisters, Jan van Dinteren on bass, lead vocalist Richard BG Muermans and Jax Kraal on drums they still are a hard rock band with their own identity and sound.
The Final Move is their first CD since the mini LP The Third Move (1986) and is masterd by metal legend Attie Bauw. There are 4 bonus tracks which are recorded by producer Maurice “Mouse” Bom. The double CD will contain remastered songs from all the Avalon demo’s and the mini LP. Taking all this in consideration, The Final Move will be a grand closure of the chapter that Avalon began writing in the 1980’s.
