BRET MICHAELS Talks About Recovery On The Oprah Winfrey Show; Video Available

POISON frontman and Celebrity Apprentice contestant BRET MICHAELS opens up about suffering from a near-fatal brain hemorrhage and getting a second chance on The Oprah Winfrey Show today (May 19th).
"What exactly happened you said it felt like an explosionIve never been shot before," Michaels says. "It sounded like a small handgun went off in the back of my head. It felt like a pop. They call it a thunderclap.. It's like a migraine times ten. It ran from my temple down to the back of my skull. I knew something was wrong woke up Kristi, we need to go to the ER now.I overheard the doctor telling Kristi, 'if you have children, you should bring them to the hospital now.' That was tough. I was doing a lot of asking at that point. I know I've done a lot of rotten things, I'm asking for a break here. If you can cut me a break this time, I promise I'll be better in the future."
Do you feel like this is a second chance for a reason? "Absolutely. I don't know what that reason is just yet. I've got, whoever that guardian angel is."
