DOWN - "Some New Audio, Video, And Slashing The Crap Out Of Some T-Shirt Prices"
March 5, 2010, 14 years ago
DOWN bassist Rex Brown has checked in with the following update:
"Hey everybody. Thanks for being patient as we all await an update on the CD/DVD Diary Of A Mad Band release. People are hard at work to make sure it gets out on the scheduled release date of March 23.In the meantime, Down would like to throw out a little 'thank you' to the fans who are waiting patiently and have helped create a buzz about the CD/DVD around the internet. Aside from taking you out to a steak dinner, there's not much that can be done other than throwing out some new audio, video, and slashing the crap out of some t-shirt prices.
None of this stuff we just put up is on the upcoming CD/DVD.
First; we've uploaded some clips from the 2002 Evening With Down intro movie. In case you didn't know, in 2002 Down toured by themselves and warmed up the crowd with a movie that had music videos from bands like SLAYER, KISS, THIN LIZZY, ZZ TOP, and more... with 'home video type' clips sprinkled throughout. Here's some of the home video clips:
Next is some very raw footage of Down playing 'N.O.D.' in Houston in 2008 when they were on tour with METALLICA. This is NOT on the upcoming DVD and we're not passing it off as any kind of finished project... just a little something to show everybody for some fun:
