Drummer Nigel Glockler Discusses New SAXON Album, GENE SIMMONS' "Rock Is Dead" Controversy; Video Interview Streaming

Prior to being rushed to hospital after suffering a brain aneurysm, Saxon drummer Nigel Glockler was interviewed by RockMeeting.com about new Saxon album, Gene Simmons' "rock is dead" comment and much more. Watch below:

Nigel Glockler was rushed to hospital earlier this month after suffering a brain aneurysm (a bulging, weak area in the wall of an artery that supplies blood to the brain). A second surgery was performed after the first was not successful.

Nigel's wife Gina Glockler issued the following update on behalf of their family on Christmas Eve:

"A quick update: Nigel is getting better each day and I am hoping he can be released sometime next week. There are certain things the DRS like to watch for after these things so they are being overly cautious and want to keep an eye out on him a little longer - which is fine by me - my first and only thought right now is for his health/recovery.

The long term prognosis is excellent and they say he will be able to be back behind HMS Glockler when he is fully recovered. Updates for his return will be released by Saxon and management.

Many Many Thanks for all the support. Gina, Justin & Madeline"

Saxon canceled their UK dates, which were due to be the culmination of 38-date European tour Warriors of the Road celebrating their 35th Anniversary.
