FACTORY OF DREAMS founder Hugo Flores is featured in a new interview with HallOfMetal.com discussing his new album, A Strange Utopia. An excerpt is available below.

HoM: I see in the album that you even got Shawn Gordon, the chief of your label (ProgRock Records), to collaborate in it (even though he had done it before) besides having the great violinist David Ragsdale of KANSAS, keyboardist Tadashi Goto, guitarist Chris Brown and female singers Gaby Koss (EQUILIBRIUM, ex-HAGGARD), Antonella (SCARECROWN), your old friend Zara (PROJECT CREATION) and Cheryl Childs (LEGEND'S GHOST). What can you tell us about their collaborations?

Flores: "A Strange Utopia is definitely a prog/symphonic album, and true performers of prog were called to participate. Tadashi is a virtuoso of the keyboards and he performed some absolutely mad stuff there. He’s insane..er, the playing of course. Shawn picked up a kind of guitar pedal, connected it to his synth and did a killer solo on 'Dark Utopia', how crazy is that huh? Awesome stuff. Chris is usually a technical guy and no exception was made on this album too. David Ragsdale’s performances are stunning, and they made the album better and more beautiful, I’m just so pleased. As for lady guests, what to say. Gaby Koss is amazing, did many parts of 'E-motions', Cheryl has a full warm voice for operatic choirs, and 'Inner Station'’s intro just got greater. Zara appears in 'Chaotic Order' and 'Inner Station', exactly where that Zara rocker power is needed. Antonella is very powerful, Zara-like, but high up there and did a great work on 'Dark Utopia' too."
