Finnish black metal band CAVUS have started working on their sophomore album, the follow-up to the band's debut, Fester And Putrefy, released via Listenable Records in 2010.

After performing live together with such bands as MAYHEM, BEHEXEN and SOLSTAFIR and touring Europe with GORGOROTH on the Quantos Possunt Ad Satanitatem Trahunt tour, the band will now begin the preproduction on their next album after performing at this summers Tuska Open Air Metal Festival and Nummirock Metal Festival in Finland.

The band is planning on two more European tours before the release of the yet-unnamed album, which is expected to be released in fall 2012.

Cavus vocalist W described the upcoming material simply as "more of everything".

Known for their gruesome usage of baritone scaled instruments and ugly grooves, Cavus is not likely to get any lighter or more polished in the future either.

Stay tuned for updates.
