Former IN FLAMES Members Launch THE HALO EFFECT; "Shadowminds" Teaser Available

The Halo Effect is a new band featuring former members of Sweden's In Flames. The line-up consists of Mikael Stanne (vocals), Jesper Strömblad (guitar), Peter Iwers (bass), Niclas Engelin (guitar) and Daniel Svensson (drums). They will release the debut single, "Shadowminds", on November 9th.

In Flames founder Jesper Strömblad launched the band in 1990 and departed in 2010. Stanne was a session player with the band in 1993, while Iwers was with In Flames from 1997 – 2016. Svensson worked with In Flames from 1998 – 2015. Niclas Engelin is still listed as a member of In Flames, but he sat out a number of tours prior to the pandemic, putting his place in the band in some doubt amongst the press and fans.
