With an impressive resume as a vocalist fronting thrash to heavy metal outfits, singer Peter Ellis (ex-WHITE WIZZARD) decided that a second wave of true British Heavy Metal was long overdue. Coming from someone whose passion has always been classic British heavy metal, we are in safe hands.

"I am really excited about Monument, this is the first time in my career that I don't have to make any compromises and I can finally play the music I want to... my true passion has always been classic British heavy metal", says frontman Peter Ellis.

Monument is bold, brash and British to the core. It's gritty yet merry, irrepresible in it's celebration of all that is heavy metal.

"I've spent the biggest part of the last three years being on the road with either White Wizzard or THE MORE I SEE and I got to talk to many Metal fans, young and old, across the UK and in America, those conversations made me realize that there is a huge number of people out there that want a band like this but for various reasons no one is giving it to them... that's my goal with Monument, to give real heavy metal fans a British heavy metal band they can be proud of, not just another KILLSWITCH ENGAGE copycat!"

Monument packed out the CroBar in London on Thursday, June 30th, showcasing to the industry and expectant fans alike, brand new material from this exciting new project, including the debut of leading track, 'Rock The Night', which features a guest guitar solo by JUDAS PRIEST guitarist, Richie Faulkner.

"The UK is the birth place of heavy metal and I think a second wave of True British Heavy Metal is long overdue. Hopefully Monument can make a change and more bands like us will follow... I feel the track 'Rock The Night' is a great introduction to Monument and will give people a good idea of what we are trying to do with this band. The track also features a guest solo performance by Richie Faulkner of Judas Priest who everyone in Monument has been good friends with for many years and we've all shared the stage with many times in the past. We thought it'd be a great treat for all the Priest fans out there having him on the track and I would like to thank him for taking the time to record his solo for us despite his extremely busy schedule."

Monument lineup:

Ben Lundy- Lead Guitar
