Kentucky rockers HYDROGYN are preparing for their new spring release of 2012. The band has released the title of the new CD to be Private Sessions.

Private Sessions will be the bands fourth original material release since 2006. They also have a live CD and an all digital best of release called Phase 1 to their catalog as well.

Vocalist Julie Westlake had the following to say about this release: "This is the quickest we have ever completed a project to date. We decided in June that we were going to do another CD after I got clearance from my doctors to get back to work and by August we were in the studio."

The band did things a lot different this time around than in any other time of their career. They enlisted Patrick Liotard from France and Anthony Dura to help with production on this release along with Jeff Westlake as well.

"Jeff was already deep into a lot of stuff that he is producing for other people and not too mention his other band, URA-KIA, so he had a very limited role in the production end this time which he enjoyed."

There have been 13 tracks in all recorded for this release of which no one area or region will get all 13 of the tracks on their version. The band spent time in Westlake's Ridgeline Studio in Ashland Kentucky and Liotard's Peek Studio in Boisseron, France.

"This is by far my favorite release for us to this point", stated Westlake.

The tracklisting for the CD and other release information as to what labels will do what where will be coming up very soon as will the artwork.

Julie Westlake is also currently tracking vocals with former DIO guitarist Tracy G and his TRACY G GROUP for their next release that will coincide with Tracy's book release also slated for the spring.

"Got some real cool stuff going on with Tracy, Johhny and Eddie right now and we have Jeff Westlake sharing fader duties with Tracy as well. This is a a very ultra cool project that I am honored to be a part of", stated Westlake.
