According to the official KAMELOT website, the band has signed with King Records in Japan for their as-yet-untitled follow-up to their Epica album. The band is reportedly coming off their highest position on the Japanese International Charts at #15 and #47 on the National Charts.

The band did their first ever tour of Japan in 2003 to rave reviews, receiving Top 10 honours in the Burrn! Magazine readers poll for the year, including a Top 5 vote for Live Performance. They came in behind METALLICA, BON JOVI, WHITESNAKE and CHILDREN OF BODOM.

Kamelot’s next release is expected for December 2004 / January 2005. The world tour that follows will include several dates in Japan.

In other news, the Kamelot merchandise store is now online at this location.
