Legendary UK Producer Jonathan King Still Thinks GOGMAGOG "Sounds Terrific"

Jonathan King (pictured here on the left - also known as Kenneth George King off stage), formerly one of the giants within the British music industry as a leading producer and record label executive, recently contacted Maiden Norway. Jonathan King was the man behind GOGMAGOG, the superstar group featuring Clive Burr (for IRON MAIDEN drummer), Janick Gers (Maiden guitarist) and PAUL DI'ANNO (former Maiden singer), amongst others. Although Gogmagog never really made it, Jonathan still thinks it sounds great even today.
In his email, Mr King writes: "Could you pass on my E-M to Clive and tell him I was sorry to hear about his health problems (I've had a few minor problems of my own recently but my health remains fine) but that he was a fucking great drummer and I loved doing the Gogmagog sessions which still sound terrific to me. Give him my love too. Thanks guys!"
The message have already been passed on to Clive, who unfortunately is very ill these days.
Although Mr King seems to have enjoyed the Gogmagog sessions, Paul Di'Anno has got a totally different view on the story. When MaidenNorway.com talked to Paul about Gogmagog back in April, he said "Some of the songs were absolutely shit, and we hated it. So, I was the first one to say 'Fuck that, I’m outta here.'”
