LORDI To Be Featured In New Book Detailing Finland’s Eurovision History

According to Escfinland.eu, a new book covering Finland’s Eurovision history will be published in January. Finland 12 points! is written by Asko Murtomäki. Even if Finland’s Eurovision history has been far from remarkable until LORDI’s victory, it has always been talked about and has awoken strong emotions. The widely illustrated book covers the national finals, songs that have taken part and of course the artists. As it has an extensive index, the book will function as a perfect source of reference for any Eurovision fan. The focus will be on Finland.
Asko Murtomäki is a life-long fan of the contest and works for YLE. He has also commentated the contest on YLE radio on many occasions. Finland 12 Points! will be published by Teos on the 18th January 2007. Another book, a doctoral dissertation called Erot järjestykseen! was also published recently, as well as the authorised biography of Mr. Lordi, Mie oon Lordi. Lordi's victory in Athens 2006 marked a total change of atmosphere in Finnish publishers' interest in Eurovision related material, and we suspect we are yet to see many others published in the coming year.
